The specially-designed air circulation openings allow free air flow while offering resistance to possible ligature. When installed with the included hardware, the base fits snugly against the wall, and when mounted with pick-free caulk, the sloped base also discourages ligature.

Our patented Ligature-Resistant Thermostat/Universal Wall Cover is designed to maintain secure conditions in behavioral hospital settings where ligature is a concern. We invented the TM260 Thermostat/Universal Wall Cover with clean, modern aesthetics with sloped faces and sides to minimize ligature points.

The TM260 Universal Cover is constructed of polycarbonate for abuse resistance and locks using a barrel lock and circular key for tamper resistance yet ease of access. The specially designed air circulation openings allow unrestricted airflow while resisting possible ligature. The unit’s base will fit snugly against the mounting wall when installed with the included hardware and lined with pick-free caulk.

The TM260 can be mounted vertically and horizontally to cover other wall fixtures requiring security, such as electrical outlets, cable connections, light switches, fire alarms, and fire alarm strobes. The cover includes mounting hardware and can be retrofitted to existing rooms or installed in new facilities.
