Product Description

For years, we have seen the mirrors in the behavioral hospital industry slowly deteriorate to a fairly small rectangular piece of polished stainless steel. After we developed our Ligature Resistant Art Frame, we asked the question – why not incorporate this really robust and aesthetically pleasing frame with a polished stainless mirror?

We soon found our clients were very excited about adding a little warmth to their environments with this elegant frame. Most people don’t even realize the mirror is stainless steel because our frame enhances the overall appearance so well.

The frame consists of a hardwood perimeter that has multiple concealed, vandal-resistant fasteners. The fastener holes are predrilled and prepped for matching glue-in wooden plugs.

We recommend the fasteners be screwed into continuous wood blocking in the wall as well as using a pick free caulk around the perimeter.

The wood is available in three attractive prefinished colors (Birch, Mahogany, and Walnut). The mirror itself is a Type 304 finish and is polished to an architectural #8 finish, which is 0% blurred, enabling a mirror-like finish comparable with a standard bathroom mirror.

The actual mirror is 18”x24” and the overall size with the frame is 22-5/8”x28-5/8”.

I am pleased to share with you and your team that we have had a highly positive experience with BSP. Your team has been very patient and responsive to our questions, our mistakes and our needs. Many of the products involved very specific details and the team at BSP went above and beyond to explain each specification and double check my work. We greatly appreciate all you have done for us and I’m sure will continue to do!

The team at Behavioral Safety Products has been a terrific partner in our efforts to update our older behavioral health inpatient units. Many of the units have dated spaces that have odd fixtures and required retrofitting to be installed. They have helped us on multiple projects and even worked with their distributor to speed up delivery time in order for us to meet internal deadlines. BSP has been a pleasure to work with and a great resource for our facilities team.
